EduVenture Academics

A semester at EduVenture provides you with the opportunity to learn and practice life-changing concepts that will enrich your life and enable you to grow closer to God and His plans for you--and at the same time earn 15 to 18 academic credit hours towards your degree completion! The number of credits and the exact nomenclature of the classes transferred depends on your school's system and recommendations. For example, our Outdoor PE class can transfer as Outdoor Recreation in your school, for one to three credits. Or maybe you end up taking Spanish with us in Mexico, but your school may transfer it as Cultural Immersion. You can also transfer classes as electives. So talk to your adviser and to our Academic Director about how EV can best help you reach your academic goals while experiencing extreme growth.

Core Courses:

We offer the same five core courses at all of our sites:

  • Spiritual Formation
  • PE / Outdoor Education
  • Cross-Cultural Communications
  • Community Development
  • Applied Missions

On top of that, we offer two options for an Independent or Guided Study in:

  • Language Aquisition / Immersion (Mexico)
  • Independent / Guided Study in Cultural Anthropology, with a concentration on Ethnography

EduVenture employs an educational philosophy that emphasizes guided experiential learning, yet combines both traditional and non-traditional approaches to:

  • Build strong cross-cultural skills
  • Provide students with a better understanding of nature and themselves
  • Provide practical personal, social and spiritual disciplines
  • Guide students into a deeper relationship with God
  • Make a positive impact among the local people through cooperative development projects.
