Physical Education
This is Physical / Outdoor Education like you've never experienced before! Adventure activities serve as vehicles for learning. Students develop their physical fitness and are given frequent opportunities for various adventures. These activities, though exciting and "fun" in themselves, are designed to stretch and challenge the student both in terms of the cognitive and affective areas of learning. The activities will differ between programs based on their geographical locations. EV Mexico focuses on rock-climbing, rafting and horsemanship, whereas EV Fiji and Indonesia have an emphasis in snorkeling, sea kayaking and trekking.
Course Themes:
- To provide an introductory experience in developing the fundamental skills, safety, and philosophies of: horsemanship, backpacking, climbing, and outdoor living skills.
- To provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of personal fitness and its value as pertains to an active lifestyle in the outdoors.
- To unite as a faithful community of relational believers, learning to be servant leaders, through respect and trust of each other through team adventures and activities.
